Love Yourself First: Importance Of Loving Someone

What Is The Meaning Of Love Yourself First

Generally, I don’t agree with the conventional wisdom that you can’t love others until you love yourself. It’s not backed by any authoritative studies or psychological research. It’s rather a spiritual proverb that has nothing to do with reality. Of course, it would be fabulous if we could all achieve this state of happiness to love our inner self, but it’s not mandatory if we want to love someone else. When you don’t love and accept yourself for who you are you feel unhappy most of the time. This feeling can’t stop you however from loving somebody else.

New researches show that the best possible medicine for healing depression is to fall in love. So, why waiting for that moment when you finally reach that healthy self-love and acceptance when you can regain a love for yourself by loving another person. By doing so you will reveal all the barriers within yourself that prevent you from being loving and compassionate towards anyone including yourself. Your partner will give you thousands of reasons for accepting yourself again.

If He Truly Loves You He Will Do That.

He will tell you what you should first love about yourself. Whatever it is, you will immediately start to love and nurture that characteristic of yours. He will be the best possible psychiatrist for your sole. It’s proven that regular conversations with our beloved ones boost our self-confidence because it gives us the ability to know ourselves better. You will not have to look at yourself in the mirror for that love reflection, you will see clearly who you are in the eyes of your beloved one.

He will probably make you accept the things as they are. It means giving up on being perfect and start the journey of finding your true self. It means stop setting the highest possible standards and start being real. The more time he spends with you being understanding and loving the more will you love yourself. The next step would be to stop seeking the approval of others. It will make you really sick and tired in the end. Just because someone has had a bad day it doesn’t give him the right to ruin yours.

Please get rid of those who bring you down. – It’s always better to be alone than to be in a wrong relationship, with whomever. Don’t worry too much about people who don’t care about you. Your partner will certainly help you to see if someone is taking advantage of you. When you reach that stage when you trust him completely, tell him all about dark parts of yourself. Work them out together in order to banish them with forgiveness and with the fact that nice people like you have their dark moments. That’s all. Don’t let your past define you.

All in all, you don’t have to love yourself completely in order to be able to love someone else. It’s an adage not based in reality. Otherwise, you may wait for years in order to accept yourself and by that time you may be too old to find a partner.
