Why Attention Seekers Make Bad Partners

Getting to know someone through online sites such as GoMarry.com is a great way to make sure that you are meeting the right person for you. However, there are many people who will put on an act to start with, in order to win you over and make you fall in love with them, before then revealing their true colors further down the line. There are many personality types which make for a wonderful partner and, in turn, there are also many which make for a bad partner. While attention seekers might seem like fun and exciting people, in the beginning, the truth is that they really don’t make for good partners and here is why.

Firstly, an attention seeker is someone who always wants to be seen and heard. If you are around other people and your partner is an attention seeker, you will find that they always try to take over the conversation, often interrupting others and talking over people. This is very rude and disrespectful and can lead to people not wanting to spend time with you because of your partner. However, if you were to bring this issue up with them, an attention seeker will always deny that this is the case, insisting that they cannot help the fact that people are naturally drawn to them.

While an attention seeker is always looking for attention, you will find that your attention alone is not enough for them. If there is only you and your partner there, then they will be fine with the attention you give them, but as soon as you are out in public, they will want to get attention from other people too. They will not even give your feelings a second thought, as they want it to be all about them. If their attention seeking ways make you feel uncomfortable or unhappy, they probably won’t even notice it, as they are too busy being the center of attention.

At the end of the day, it is always going to be difficult to be in a relationship with someone who is such a big attention seeker. You are going to need to be a very strong person who is very comfortable and secure within yourself and your relationship, in order to let your attention seeking partner do their thing. With that said, the fact of the matter really is that an attention seeker does not make a good partner. No matter how much you try to accept them for their attention seeking ways, a good relationship can never last if your partner cares more about themselves and what other people think of them than they do about you and your feelings.
