Spark is Not Needed to tell Your Love is Real

How to Tell If Your Love is Real

True love doesn’t need a spark. Being in love and truly adoring your partner is all it takes to let love take control of things between two of you

In one of my previous articles, I explained what is a spark and ‘True Love”. If you refer back to this article you will know what true love really is and whether it is present in your relationship.

In the meantime, I’ve been asked – “Why do I feel like there’s no spark in my relationship?” or “I know I love my partner unconditionally, but I don’t feel in love, why?”

True love needs no spark

True love doesn’t need a spark. Being in love and truly loving someone are two opposites.

Sometimes, real love can be confused with infatuation. Infatuation is the feeling of butterflies you get in your stomach before you see the person you really like. But, truly loving someone is more real and that’s why the dream-like feeling of fireworks going off in your eyes and heart.

Why do we feel the spark in the early stages of a relationship?

Of course, you’ll feel sparks at the beginning of your relationship. Why? Because it’s something new and exciting.

Adrenalin is pumping through your veins as you go on new and exciting dates. While you are experiencing all these new things you have a feeling of euphoria or in more common terms – “a spark’.

Honeymoon phases make way for a deeper connection

You have your first kiss and it feels like fireworks are shooting through your whole body. As time goes on this sparky feeling fades. You get used to each other and the excitement of seeing each other withers away.

The initial excitement of being in love, also called the ‘honeymoon phase’ has made way for something deeper and real, also called ‘real love’ or ‘unconditional love.’

But that doesn’t mean that your relationship should be without excitement and that it should move into a boring phase.

Some couples make the mistake of thinking that there’s something wrong in their relationship. That they’ve fallen out of love because the spark isn’t present anymore. This is not true!

Spark can be created if needed

A spark between two people can be created and should be created to keep the relationship interesting and fun. You are responsible for lighting the fire and creating excitement.

You can create attraction within your marriage no matter how long you’ve been together. Refer to my ‘Instant Attraction Triggers’  article to find some guidelines on how to create a spark and attraction between you and your partner.

True love is real, and reality can be boring sometimes. But that doesn’t mean that your love has faded. As a matter of fact, it has only become stronger.
